LCD REFURBISHMENT PROCESS

When we receive your screens:-

• Initial checks

when we first receive your parcels our first step is to count the number of LCDs and check if they match the number on the package, taking out any copy screens that can’t be refurbished due to different manufacturing.

Our next part of the process is to test the LCDs so we can look for any damaged pixels or pressure marks on the screen. This is the most common forms of issues missed by senders. The screen is tested for pressure marks on the LCD which is often caused by cracked screens that then pressure the LCD into forming marks. We check screens thoroughly before moving on the next step of our process.

When everything is in order, we would begin the refurbishing process.

With Apple iPhone LCD displays we generally separate the screen using molybdenum cutting wire. This is so we can preserve the original backlight. Once the glass has been removed, we also remove the polarizer. Once they have been cleanly removed, we move on to cleaning the screen before going any further.

• Installing replacement glass and polarizer

Once the screen has been cleaned, we get it ready for having the replacement glass installed. We only use as close to original parts as possible for this process for perfect outcomes. The replacement polarizer, frame, and glass are original quality and the frames are cold pressed so there is no risk of the screen lifting from the frame leaving the result to be clean and fault-free.

• Final stage

Lastly, the iPhone LCD screen will move on to the final stages of refurbishment where it will receive the finishing touches. This part of the process varies depending on the model of the LCD screen but the first thing we would do is check the home button is working.

On the iPhone 7 to the 8+ on a new backplate is screwed on to protect the flex cable from damage. Our warranty sticker is carefully applied along with our backlight solder stickers, where required, and a new backlight protection sticker is fitted.

We finally end our refurbishment by testing our screens for the last time before they are put into bubble wrap bags and carefully packaged to be sent out.
